Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a maintenance technician to support our manufacturing and facilities by maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure safe, reliable operation and maximize efficiency.

The role requires troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, installing parts, and performing preventive maintenance in an indoor factory environment. Education: a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Troubleshooting a wide variety of machine malfunctions.
• Troubleshooting electrical components such as circuits, motors, sensors, relays, etc.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components such as bearings, gears, pneumatics, etc.
• Ability to understand machine functionality and sequence of machine operations
• Knowledge of PLCs and PLC programs
• Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, multimeter, etc.
• Must have good judgment, prioritization, and organization abilities
• Basic computer skills and the ability to perform duties utilizing company software applications
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Standing - Up to 10-12 hours per day to complete tasks.


• Lifting - Parts and supplies, up to 40 pounds repetitive lifting.


• Carrying - Parts and supplies, up to 40 pounds.


• Maneuvering – Using mechanical assistance devices, ladders.


• Walking - Up to 10-12 hours per day to accomplish tasks.


• Reaching - Upward and downward reaching to complete tasks, up to 10-12 hours per day.


• Handling - Various supplies/parts of different weights, up to 40 pounds.


• Seeing – Part/machine observation, problem-solving.


• Overtime - Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime requirements, more than 40 hours per week.
