Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a manufacturing operations leader to oversee daily machining department activities, ensuring quality, safety and production targets.

You will train associates, implement process improvements and coordinate changeovers with line operators to keep production flowing smoothly. Ideal candidates bring machining experience, leadership skills, and a disciplined approach to quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily machining department operations.
  • Manage all aspects of quality, safety, production and coaching opportunities.
  • Communicate and execute all change overs with Line Operators (General Associates).
  • Ensure end of shift information is accurate and recorded.
  • Train and assist associates on departmental procedures and work instructions.
  • Complete required production quality and assist in troubleshooting process issues.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach and perform repetitive motions
  • Lift, carry, push and pull materials weighing up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves, aprons, face shields, and safety glasses
  • Ability to distinguish colors and read gauges, meters, labels, and process documentation
