Job summary

Carma Laboratories, located in Franklin, WI, is seeking a Set Up Technician for the second shift to perform production equipment setup, changeovers, and routine maintenance tasks. The role requires independence, the ability to deliver production-ready systems, and collaboration with the maintenance team.

The position involves 2nd shift hours (Mon-Thu, 3:30 PM start) with a $2/hr shift differential and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School or GED.
• Minimum of two years working experience in facility or production maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously manage, plan and execute production equipment set up, change overs, and start-up troubleshooting.
• Perform equipment set up, start-Up & required troubleshooting tasks to deliver a “Production ready” system.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) duties for assigned equipment.
• Create and maintain necessary PM checklists for assigned areas.
• Develop and execute Continuous Improvement tasks following a PM and 5S discipline.
• Implement and sustain 5S discipline in assigned areas.
• Ensure a clear inventory of spare parts is in place, highlighting tooling location and condition.
• Document relevant standard work for routine assignments.
• Support facility safety-related improvements (e.g.: install signage, floor striping, etc.).
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
