Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a production maintenance technician to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, replace, adjust and modify various types of production equipment, including structural metal repair, while following GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience with 1-2 years in production maintenance.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and use diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with GMP and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule and perform safety checks on equipment; obtain supplies and prepare for operations.
• Perform regular mechanical inspections and routine repairs as required.
• Repair production units, engines, leaks, and recharge production units.
• Operate electric arc welding equipment to repair production-related issues.
• Maintain logs, records, checklists and reports; keep work area clean and orderly.
• End-of-shift closeout: secure equipment and complete required paperwork.
