Job summary

Washington Mills is hiring a Maintenance Millwright in Hennepin, IL, on the 2nd shift (3PM-11PM, M-F). The role involves repairing, adjusting, and installing plant equipment, including conveyors, crushers, and hydraulics, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on welding skills, the ability to work independently, and clear communication with supervisors and peers. Overtime is available and benefits are offered by the company.

Qualifications

• Team collaboration within a group and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Maintain open communication with Supervisor and Plant Management peers.
• Evidence of completion for the specified welding courses or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards are met and provide safety support for the team, contractors, and visitors as needed.
• Support ongoing communication within the department and plant organization.
• Perform plant machine and equipment repair, mechanical adjustment, servicing, overhaul and installation of plant equipment including conveyors, crushers, heat exchangers, belts and drives, pneumatics & hydraulic units.
• Fabricate, install, and maintain metal equipment including guards, covers, ducts, chutes, and attachments for heavy mobile equipment.
