Job summary

Assistance Technique Internationale in Cudahy, WI is seeking an Industrial Millwright Maintenance Technician to join a skilled team. You will inspect, repair and maintain mechanical equipment to support production goals, performing preventive maintenance and handling rotating machinery alignment and safety compliance.

The role requires mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam system knowledge, with training on 1st shift for 6 months before moving to 2nd or 3rd shift (3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of machine repair, hydraulic repair, iron worker and/or industrial maintenance/millwright experience OR a licensed Journeyman Millwright through a state indentured apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mill equipment, chains, belt conveyors, gear boxes/drive chains and cranes for maintenance or repair.
• Use tools such as forklifts and barrel lifts, aerial lifts, boom trucks, drill presses, welding and cutting equipment, portable drills and grinders, measuring devices, laser pump alignment tools, power tools and miscellaneous hand tools.
• Maintain accurate records such as labor hours and important preventative maintenance findings on work orders for creation of future job plans.
• Work in both high places and in confined spaces.
• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform tasks such as removal, installation, alignment, leveling and coupling of rotating equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Assist Engineering and/or contractors with capital project work.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
