Job summary

Vibrant Ingredients in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery. You will troubleshoot mechanically, dismantle, repair, and reinstall equipment, using diagnostics to keep lines running under tight deadlines.

The role requires 3+ years of maintenance in a production environment, experience with industrial electrical systems, boiler equipment, and knowledge of GMPs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Maintenance in a production environment (food manufacturing preferred).
• 3+ years of experience with industrial electrical systems.
• 1 year experience with boiler equipment.
• Knowledge of GMPs and food processing environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines as noted in guidelines.
• Able to visually inspect and test machinery to detect malfunctions.
• Repairs broken machines and replaces damaged parts as needed.
• Cooperates with managers to schedule maintenance and with engineers on modifications.
• Documents work performed and maintains shop areas and tools.
