Job summary

Primary Staffing Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a premier food-industry company in Indianapolis. The role focuses on installing and maintaining mechanical equipment, diagnosing breakdowns, and keeping the maintenance shop in top condition.

You will perform PMs, troubleshoot, and ensure equipment runs smoothly while following GMPs and safety procedures. Candidates should be prepared for varied temperatures and a physically demanding shift.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Capable of bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment following daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace machinery and equipment as needed.
• Diagnose and repair equipment during breakdowns quickly.
• Ensure all facility equipment functions properly.
• Follow safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out programs.
• Reduce downtime by teaching production workers about routine PMs.
• Document all PMs and work orders.
• Adhere to safety, GMPs, food safety, and quality procedures.
