Job summary

Vibrant Ingredients in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a cohesive maintenance team across our facilities. You will drive planned and unplanned maintenance, maximize equipment reliability, and improve safety, quality, and productivity.

This on-site role requires a degree in engineering or 5 years’ equivalent experience, hands-on automation experience, CMMS oversight, and knowledge of GMPs and clean design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• 5 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with batch and continuous processing, including filtration, extraction, and packaging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team, including work planning, task assignment, skill development, and performance accountability.
• Oversee the CMMS, spare parts inventory, and preventative maintenance (PM) program to ensure equipment readiness and reliability.
• Fully develop the plant CMMS to include spare parts setup, inventory optimization, PM updates, and workload leveling.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance mechanics and contractors required for process improvement and maintenance projects.
• Train and develop maintenance mechanics on new technologies, processes, and engineered modifications.
• Identify, plan, and execute projects that enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
