Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor in Washington, MO for a direct‑hire role in a food manufacturing environment. You’ll lead a team of maintenance technicians, drive preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance and 2+ years in leadership, with hands‑on expertise in 480V electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with 480V electrical systems, PLC‑controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and occasional off‑shift support.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Assign and prioritize daily preventive maintenance activities and corrective work orders.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and support for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Support maintenance and operation of production, packaging, processing, and facility equipment.
• Utilize CMMS software to manage and track maintenance work orders and schedules.
• Monitor equipment performance, driving improvements in reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance resources to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance parts inventory and assist with inventory control processes.
• Support equipment startups, changeovers, and capital improvement projects.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with company policies and food manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production leadership to support plant goals.
