Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance or 4 years in similar environments.
• Technical diploma or associate degree in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and interact with all levels of personnel and contractors.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift, Genie lift, or scissor lift.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to determine tools, time, manpower, parts, and supplies needed.
• Respond to crisis calls with basic tools and equipment to perform repairs.
• Read blueprints and schematics (including electrical) and wiring diagrams.
• Disassemble machinery, identify faulty parts, replace, reassemble, and test.
• Disassemble and test major subsystems to locate problems.
• Fabricate replacement parts, including welding or sheet metal work.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment, and install new equipment and utilities.
• Adhere to FDA/USDA/GFSI, OSHA, GMP policies and report nonconformities.
• Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities.
• On-call availability 24/7.
