Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for the 2nd shift in Rumford, RI to install, repair and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment and wiring. You will read wiring diagrams, install motors, balance loads, and coordinate with fellow electricians.

You’ll tear down, diagnose issues quickly to avoid downtime and perform related maintenance tasks. Required are a high school diploma or GED, Rhode Island electrician journeyman or master license, a valid driver’s license, and a forklift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Rhode Island Electrician Journeyman’s or Masters License.
• Valid and current Driver’s License.
• OSHA Forklift License within 3 months of hire date.
• ITAR compliance applies to this position.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, and perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment and wiring.
• Tear down and diagnose problems to minimize downtime.
• Install and wire motors for machine tools and controls.
• Prepare wiring diagrams and update drawings for maintenance wiring programs.
• Assist in prototype or experimental machinery and prints preparation.
• Direct and instruct helpers and handle emergency response duties.
• Maintain air conditioning units and boilers.
