Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Industrial Journeyman Electrician or Millwright for a full-time role in Newport, RI. The position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on 2nd shift (4pm–midnight) and 3rd shift (midnight–8am) in a well-established manufacturing facility.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience, a diploma or apprenticeship in the field, a valid license, and strong knowledge of electrical drawings and NEC codes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Millwright with electrical knowledge.
• Experience working with electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local building regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in using electrical tools and manual tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
• Good physical condition and ability to work long shifts, including overnight.
• Valid license and 5+ years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow NEC state and local regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system longevity.
• Use power tools, meters, and testing equipment.
• Work with electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Collaborate with team members to address issues and implement solutions.
