Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in South Bend, IN to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment to maximize up-time. Core duties include servicing presses, performing welds, and documenting work orders with shift-to-shift communication.

The role requires OSHA safety adherence and the ability to collaborate with other plant functions on safety, quality, and efficiency projects. A high school diploma or GED and industrial electrical experience are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years industrial electrical experience or an Associate degree in Industrial/Electrical Maintenance.
Residence within 50 miles of the work location; relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot/repair and maintain presses from 1000 to 3000 ton capacity.
Weld/fabricate fixtures and perform equipment repair using schematics and blueprints.
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on presses and plant equipment.
Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, hoists) and assist with rigging.
Adhere to OSHA and plant safety requirements; lead maintenance efforts on major repairs.
