Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring a direct-hire, full-time Warehouse Associate (Mail Presort Associate 1) for the 2nd Shift at our Charlotte, NC Presort Services facility. Total pay offered is $17.50 per hour, with a base of $16.50 and a $1 shift differential.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM–1:15 AM EST. You will be trained to prepare mail, review postage, troubleshoot jams, monitor quality, and ensure compliance with USPS labeling and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Dependable and reliable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk/stoop/bend 80% of the time.
• Ability to work overtime including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing proper date, postage, and good quality barcodes prior to production.
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes in mail/packages.
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from the machine.
• Monitor the quality of mail/packages prior to processing and before dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels, zip codes, and matching bin numbers to tray numbers.
• Follow QMS practices to assure output quality.
• Ensure sorter equipment is running properly.
• Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail/packages.
• Remain informed of acceptance times and truck departure.
• Meet SLAs and keep work area safe and clean.
• Perform all additional duties as required.
