Qualifications

• Requires average math skills and ability to read English instructions.
• Must read and comprehend English, and complete simple logs/reports in English.
• Physically able to handle heavy items; lift/push/pull as needed.
• Must follow scheduled hours and the company timekeeping policy.
• Stand for an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Learn fundamental machining concepts and use measuring devices.
• Collaborate with supervisors to optimize production processes.
• Maintain attention to detail to uphold quality standards.
• Demonstrate reliability and dependability; consistent performance.
• Detail-oriented with flexibility to respond to production changes.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets/blueprints or supervisor directions.
• Align and secure dies, punches, blades, or other fixtures for safe operation.
• Set up and operate machines such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines.
• Inspect operations and measure finished parts with calipers/micrometers to meet tolerances.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; wear PPE; use crane/buddy system as needed; keep area organized.
• Assist in other areas or departments as needed.
