Job summary

Miller Manufacturing Company, a family-owned manufacturer of hobby farm and pet products, is seeking a Setup Operator for the 2nd shift in Minnesota. The role involves setting up machines, tooling, and work cells to ensure safe operation and compliant, high-quality output per approved parameters.

The position requires forklift certification, high school diploma or GED, and 1–3 years of related experience. Overtime is possible; competitive benefits include health, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years related experience or equivalent
• Forklift certification required (training can be provided)
• On-the-job training may be required
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management and read technical instructions

Responsibilities

• Set up designated machines, manufacturing cells, and tooling per work instructions and specifications
• Obtain machine setup and safety approvals from lead/supervisor/manager
• Provide part prints and first article inspections for ongoing validation
• Maintain quality, safety, and cleanliness of work areas and setups
• Move materials using handling equipment to keep production flowing
• Complete system material moves to keep inventory accurate
• Refill point-of-use inventories to support assembly workflow
• Monitor machine/tool usage and communicate potential failures for maintenance
