Millerbernd Manufacturing Company is hiring a Machine Operator 1 for 1st or 2nd shift in Winsted, MN. The role involves setting up, operating, loading, and unloading machines to manufacture metal products per specifications.

Salary ranges from $21.44 to $25.03 per hour, with a 1.50/hour second shift differential. The position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to set up and safely operate equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to perform basic shop math functions.
• Ability to use forklift, hoist, crane and other handling equipment.
• Ability to operate various power and hand tools.
• Ability to use various measuring devices.
• Ability to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently operates at least one machine in the assigned area
• Cross trains on other machines in assigned area
• Basic understanding of the machines in assigned area
• Effectively set up machines to start a production cycle
• Load and feed metal stock and other materials into manual or automatic machines
• Monitors gauges as required to ensure quality work
• Verify end parts are consistent with blue print specifications
• Accurately label all parts for routing to next operation
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
• Escalates equipment or quality issues
• Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence
• Enter job data in production tracking system
• Meet and maintain quality standards
• Maintains area cleanliness and completed 5S checklists
• Material handles for assigned area as required
• Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team
• Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
• Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements
