Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This 2nd shift role runs 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM with consistent weekday hours and a rotating on-call schedule.

Compensation starts at $23.00/hour or higher depending on experience, plus an additional $1.00/hour shift differential. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining and fabricating parts, and addressing recurring facility issues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Understand Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
• Ability to thread pipe and solder copper pipes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities to include fabricating parts and assemblies.
• Follow up on and study recurring facility-oriented failures in an effort to find solutions.
• Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the building and manufacturing.
• Wood working projects.
