Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). The role runs Monday–Friday with rotating on-call weekends, and compensation starts at $23.00/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in manufacturing, with strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of Lock-Out-Tag-Out, pipe threading, and copper soldering.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude; understanding of Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
• Ability to thread pipe and solder copper pipes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities; fabricate parts and assemblies.
• Address recurring facility-oriented failures to identify solutions.
• Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies for building and manufacturing operations.
• Woodworking projects.
