Job summary

Nelson Global Products Inc. is seeking a production operator in Indianapolis, IN for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri 3:30 PM–2:00 AM). You will operate equipment, read setup sheets, and perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, basic shop math, the ability to read blueprints, and use measuring tools. Prior experience preferred; safety gear is provided; walking and standing for long shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read routing instructions.
• Proficiency in shop math including fractions and decimals; metric as needed.
• Ability to read setup instructions and blueprints; use measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and make minor adjustments to ensure quality parts.
• Read setup sheets and verify correct settings on equipment.
• Conduct quality inspections per written procedures.
• Complete production records.
• Move parts to the next operation.
• Record scrap or rework and reasons.
• Contribute to corrective actions to prevent defects.
• Follow procedures for repeatability.
• Participate in team meetings for continuous improvements.
