Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for our 2nd shift in Shepherdsville, KY to operate and maintain a variety of machinery producing components for transit buses. You will ensure safety and quality while meeting production goals on a 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM schedule, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities include setup, monitoring, preventive maintenance, quality inspections, and teamwork to troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to understand technical specifications, blueprints, and instructions.
• Knowledge of machine operation, setup, and maintenance is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and adjust to changing production priorities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery in accordance with production requirements and safety guidelines.
• Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency and quality of production.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished products and document findings.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot any issues.
