New Flyer in Shepherdsville, KY is hiring a Welder for 2nd shift. The role involves reading technical drawings, setting up MIG and TIG welders, and fabricating components to spec. You will inspect welds, maintain safe work areas, and collaborate with the team to meet production targets.

The position is full-time and on-site with a wage of $30.32 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential. Standard hours are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

Position Summary: As a Welder at New Flyer in Shepherdsville, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to assemble and fabricate components according to specifications. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards in our production processes.

What You Will Do
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders.
  • Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques to fabricate and assemble components.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Make necessary adjustments as required.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas. Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and ensure smooth workflow.
What You Need to Be Successful
  • Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Strong knowledge of TIG welding.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment and tools effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high‑quality welds.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform welding tasks and lift heavy materials.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Hourly Wage Rate: $30.32/hr plus $1.50/hr Shift Differential

Standard Hours: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
