Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Shepherdsville, KY. You will provide technical support, optimize production processes, and ensure product quality through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include implementing process improvements, creating work instructions, and leading lean initiatives while maintaining safety and compliance. This is a 2nd shift role, Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am, with opportunities to drive efficiency across the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably automotive/heavy-duty.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to promote safety and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and expertise in manufacturing processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize product quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement best practices.
• Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and SOPs.
• Review production data to identify areas for improvement.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing cell layout design and equipment/tooling selection.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
