Job summary

Hörmann North America in Sparta, TN seeks a reliable 2nd shift Machine Operator II to set up and run presses, roll-formers and related equipment, producing garage door sections according to prints.

You will monitor quality, perform basic measurement with tape measure, micrometer and caliper, operate forklift and overhead cranes (certifications required), and maintain a safe, clean workspace. This role offers competitive benefits and a starting wage of $18.50 per hour plus a $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent with at least three years of progressive manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and measure products to prints/drawings and work instructions.
• Must be able to operate forklift and overhead cranes (certifications required) and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run production equipment including presses, un-coilers, roll-formers.
• Produce garage door sections and components per specifications and maintain quality.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and 6S standards; assist with quality training.
• Read prints, meet production rates, and handle rejects for return to vendors.
