Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rock Island, IL is seeking a Machine Operator I for our manufacturing operations. You will set up and operate heavy machinery, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule is 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with competitive base pay of $19.00–$21.00 per hour and benefits starting day one. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be willing to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Cover and band stacks of wall panels.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges for cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations.
• Follow safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality finished or semi-finished parts.
• Operate CNC-controlled machines, such as presses, lasers, and rolling mills, safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and tools.
