Job summary

nVent is hiring a full-time second-shift Machine Operator at our Alexandria, MN facility. The role focuses on manufacturing and packaging electrical fasteners, operating assembly equipment, and meeting production goals.

You will contribute to quality, cost and delivery, perform routine inspections, maintain 5S standards, and participate in continuous improvement teams. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to operate production assembly equipment.
• Ability to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers or gage blocks.
• Strong addition and multiplication skills.
• Willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly equipment to meet production requirements.
• Follow and perform periodic product inspection instructions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain optimal machine speeds.
• Complete daily production reporting.
• Participate on continuous improvement teams.
• Maintain 5S standards.
