Job summary

nVent’s Alexandria, MN facility seeks a Maintenance Technician to support molding, stamping, assembly and packaging equipment through repairs and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, reading schematics/PLC programs, maintaining inventory, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. First shift with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Read electrical schematics, PLC programs, and mechanical blueprints.
• Operate shop equipment and hand tools to perform repairs.
• Knowledge of world-class manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge of injection molding machines and processes.
• Knowledge of machine controls.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficient with computers, Mapcon, and PLCs.
• 3–5 years manufacturing maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all molding, stamping, assembly, packaging and auxiliary machines.
• Perform preventative and autonomous maintenance on equipment.
• Make improvements and updates to existing equipment.
• Initiate and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
• Effectively use Mapcon to document all work performed on equipment.
• Participate in design review activities for new and existing equipment.
• Maintain spare parts inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
