Job summary

Atkore in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Machine Operator (Coiler) for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday). You will operate coiling machinery, perform packing, and use basic measurement tools while completing required paperwork.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. The role requires good attendance, safety awareness, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to work in environments with loud noises, smells, and/or extreme temperatures at times.
• Basic Math skills required.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend, sit and stand without assistance.
• Good attendance and strong work ethic required.
• Must understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend production Standard Work and Job Function Analysis (JFA).
• Ensure production materials are available.
• Operate and observe machinery during production.
• Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately.
