Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Machine Operator (LTC Operator) for the 2nd shift in Massachusetts. You will set up, operate, inspect and adjust machinery, read Standard Work, and ensure materials are ready while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, basic math, and the ability to lift 70 lbs. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred. The position offers shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job description

Machine Operator (LTC Operator) - 2nd Shift (4:00PM - 12:00PM) $25.31/hr. +$0.75 Shift Differential

We are currently looking for 2nd Shift LTC operators (4:00 PM- Midnight) reporting to the shift supervisor. The metal forming LTC operator will be responsible for operating machines/sets of machines, which includes setup, operation, inspection, and adjustments of machinery. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing simple or routine set-ups, following processes, completing necessary paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

What you will do:

Machine Operator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Read and comprehend production Standard Work and Job Function Analysis (JFA)
• Ensure production materials are available.
• Operate and observe machinery during production.
• Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately.

What you will bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent education and experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in an environment with loud noises, smells, and/or extreme temperatures at times.
• Basic Math skills required.
• Must have the ability to lift to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend, sit, and stand without assistance.
• Good attendance and strong work ethic required.
• Must have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to follow directions and complete work in a safe and efficient manner while producing a quality product.

Within 3 months, you'll:

• Complete any required training.
• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.

As of the date of this posting, a good-faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $25.31/hr. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs, and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but is not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
