Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing in New Berlin, WI is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead a production team, drive accountability, and foster collaboration on the shop floor.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and 5S. You will read and interpret blueprints, manage performance reviews, and ensure safety and efficiency across the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Lead a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities on the 2nd shift.
• Train, cross-train, coach and develop team members.
• Support continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Serve as backup for team leads and communicate goals to staff.
• Resolve employee issues and drive safe, efficient production.
• Conduct performance reviews for 2nd shift production staff.
• Participate in real-time problem solving and process improvements.
