Job summary

Tenneco, a global auto parts leader, is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. You will oversee day-to-day production, manufacturing, and distribution activities, driving continuous improvement and lean optimization to meet quality and cost targets.

You will lead teams, plan and prioritize work, and ensure safety, training, and performance evaluations for direct reports under the Value Stream Manager guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Management preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong decision-making and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Workforce Time Keeping is a plus.
• Experience with SuccessFactors is a plus.
• Ability to hold employees accountable to rules in the handbook.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct unsafe situations and model safety.
• Report, evaluate, and investigate accidents; implement corrective action.
• Plan, prioritize and organize work; communicate across shifts.
• Adapt to a rapidly changing environment and meet deadlines.
• Analyze problems, make logical decisions, and take action.
• Work with other supervisors to meet company goals and coordinate with management, maintenance, quality, and engineering.
• Ensure procedures are followed and safety documents are up-to-date.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
