Join to apply for the 2nd Shift Leader Production role at Roechling Industrial (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

We are looking for a 2nd Shift Leader Production at our Akron, OH location, within the Automotive division. This is a full-time, professional-level position requiring experienced candidates.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage daily responsibilities of the shift in Production, Quality, Logistics, and Maintenance departments.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental procedures are followed; maintain equipment in safe condition per OSHA standards.
• Comply with QMS/EMS procedures and work instructions.
• Improve plant performance in materials management, scrap, labor, and operational costs.
• Lead all daily shift activities, ensuring on-time delivery of customer orders meeting all specifications.
• Enforce a culture of Zero accidents, defects, late orders, and waste.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and monitor KPI goals, and lead projects to meet or exceed them.
• Train operators and ensure proper setup and certification before production.
• Address customer quality concerns and delivery issues promptly using Fast Response procedures.
• Monitor and lead molding and assembly operations to meet safety, quality, and production standards.
• Maintain documentation, conduct reviews, counseling, and employee evaluations.
• Develop team leads and implement operating procedures to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Support process improvements, equipment modifications, and waste elimination initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication during shift handovers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Administer company policies, ensure safety compliance, and resolve operator concerns.
• Implement new projects from pre-series to series production, including training across shifts.
• Prioritize confidentiality and maintain a proactive attitude to meet standards.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience, with 3+ years supervisory and automotive experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team support ability.
