Job summary

The Laboratory Technician at Eurofins Scientific SE supports daily lab functions, including cleaning, sample preparation, and stocking supplies, following SOPs and QA guidelines. The role may involve standing, handling chemicals, and operating specialized equipment.

Work includes data entry into LIMS, reagent preparation, and assisting in other lab areas as needed. This is a 2nd shift position with comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Computer skills required.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing and speaking.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follows SOPs, written and verbal instructions.
• Performs routine laboratory cleaning.
• Performs disposal of chemical waste using approved methods.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Accurately enters data into LIMS.
• Washes and inventories glassware and equipment; prepares equipment for shipping if needed.
• Maintains training documentation (training records, IDOC/DOC).
• Ensures timely completion of QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT).
• Maintains general housekeeping in the work area.
• Complies with Eurofins Environment health, safety and QA standards.
• Assists in other laboratories when needed.
• May perform laboratory assistant responsibilities.
• May prepare reagents and spikes as required.
• May perform extractions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
