Job summary

CTC Global in Irvine, CA is seeking a Lab Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 1:30PM to 10:00PM). You will perform production and R&D testing on composite core materials, run DMA and tensile tests, and document results to ensure conformance to specifications.

You will inspect lines, prepare samples, and maintain test setups (water boil and oven bake) while logging data and supporting safety guidelines in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Good oral and written communications skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with DMA and tensile testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on production and R&D composite core to certify quality and adherence to specifications.
• Operate DMA test machine to determine glass transition temperature.
• Operate tensile test machine to determine tensile strength.
• Inspect core production lines for adherence to specifications.
• Prepare samples for determining tensile strength and glass transition temperature.
• Set up and maintain water boil test for R&D core.
• Set up and maintain oven bake test for R&D core.
• Monitor R&D test spreadsheet and development.
• Monitor validation tests for R&D of new resins, fillers, and fibers.
• Analyze and record DMA test data for production and R&D core.
• Clean tensile test fixtures.
• Document all work on batch records and related forms.
• Maintain good workplace organization and safety rules.
