Job summary

Divergent in Torrance, CA, seeks a Test Lab Technician to support material testing for QC within our Adaptive Production System. You will operate tensile and fatigue test systems, perform checks, document results, and maintain test records using Excel and related software.

The role requires on-site work, lifting 30+ lbs, and compliance with export-control rules. Training will begin on a standard Monday–Friday schedule with steady shifts and potential overtime as projects require.

Qualifications

• Background in a test lab, machine shop, or similar setting.
• High school diploma, GED or higher.
• Able to work on-site and lift 30+ lbs.
• Experience with mechanical testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate standard tensile and fatigue test systems used for material quality control and characterization.
• Perform system checks and periodic maintenance as required.
• Follow the Divergent Manufacturing Execution System and ensure proper documentation of all work performed.
• Accurately record data in Excel and other related software applications.
• Follow specific instructions outlined in Divergent’s standard test procedures.
