Job summary

Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC is seeking an Inventory Lead for the 2nd shift to oversee daily inventory operations, verify materials, track BOM components, and ensure accurate stock across warehouse, production, and intercompany locations.

You will lead and mentor the 2nd shift inventory team, support WIP transitions to Inventory, participate in cycle counts, and partner with Planning, Engineering, and Purchasing to optimize the supply chain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of inventory management or warehouse experience.
• Familiarity with inventory software (Global Shop, SAP).
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; barcode/RFID knowledge preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting/moving materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory operations and ensure accuracy across locations.
• Manage work orders, BOM verification, and cost-aware closures.
• Lead and mentor the 2nd shift inventory team and train new staff.
• Support transition to barcode-enabled inventory and system improvements.
• Prepare for physical inventory and conduct cycle counts.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Purchasing to optimize supply chain.
