Composite Factory is hiring an Inventory Lead for the 2nd shift in Mooresville, NC. This role oversees daily inventory operations, from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring accuracy, proper movement, and cost-aware validation of work orders.

You will train and mentor the 2nd shift team while driving continuous improvements, including barcode implementations. The position requires 3–5 years in inventory management, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with Global Shop or SAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years in inventory management or related role with familiarity in inventory management software (e.g., Global Shop, SAP).
• Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory counts and data integrity.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess inventory data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with knowledge of barcode scanning, RFID systems and inventory tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident compliant with ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Review physical parts in staging location and verify serial numbers on the work orders; coordinate with QC on discrepancies.
• Ensure raw materials and BOM components are issued before parts enter Inventory.
• Detect potential BOM issues and recommend updates to BOMs.
• Timely WIP into Inventory for QC approved parts, with attention to shipping/staging priorities.
• Coordinate with Planning on outstanding WOs; review closures for cost needs.
• Work with Engineering to establish need for critical items in BOM for tracking.
• Monitor return materials to ensure proper handling within systems.
• Assist with transition to barcode inventory system and automation opportunities.
• Assist in physical inventory and cycle counts.
