Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate inventory records and support efficient warehouse operations. You will monitor stock levels, investigate variances, and ensure proper storage, labeling, and accounting of products.

This role also manages non-conforming items such as damaged goods and quality holds in line with internal protocols. Responsibilities include cycle counts, data entry in the WMS, handling receiving/shipping documents, and assisting with order

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and inventory tracking.
• Ability to manage multiple inventory items and priorities simultaneously.
• Skilled in identifying discrepancies and solving problems through logical reasoning.
• Effective verbal and written communication for reporting and teamwork.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (Excel, Word) and adaptability to warehouse systems.
• Understanding of inventory practices such as FIFO, cycle counting, and stock rotation.
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience operating a forklift and ability to pass forklift assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical audits to verify stock levels and locations.
• Input and maintain inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Prepare and manage documentation for inventory transactions.
• Assist with receiving shipments and support order fulfillment and shipping as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
• Identify inventory issues and propose process improvements to enhance accuracy.
• Perform product and location audits and resolve inconsistencies.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring inventory issues.
• Support initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
• Use system tools to trace and resolve discrepancies and ensure correct stock status.
• Manage damaged goods documentation and disposition.
• Identify and segregate items under quality hold and document disposition.
• Execute inventory transfers to support production and fulfillment.
• Perform miscellaneous warehouse tasks and operate forklifts safely.
