Job summary

Pitney Bowes Presort Services is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for the Reading, PA facility. The role reports to the maintenance team on 2nd shift and involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining conveyor systems and PLC-driven equipment.

The position requires 2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial machinery, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Experience with conveyor machines and PLC systems.
• Ability to read schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment for automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs on conveyor machines and PLC systems.
• Conduct electrical/mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to quality standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
• Use inventory, PM schedule, and work orders to reduce downtime.
• Maintain spare parts inventory using EAM.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and diagnose issues with schematics.
• Record work and downtime using a tablet.
