Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to own mechanical and electrical upkeep across high-speed production lines in Smyrna, GA. You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild plant machinery, and support continuous operation on a 2nd shift with overtime opportunities.

The role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, along with welding and blueprint reading, ensuring safety and compliance on every shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and complete rebuilds on all plant equipment—including high-speed envelope production and ancillary machinery—while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role utilizes advanced mechanical expertise to diagnose complex issues, execute equipment rebuilds, and ensure the continuous, efficient operation of manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Equipment Diagnostics & Repair: Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals to install, maintain, and repair plant machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to assist production personnel during shift runs.
• Machining & Fabrication: Operate machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, welding, and cutting tools to fabricate or modify parts.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Monitor, schedule, and document PM activities to ensure long-term machinery reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Parts & Inventory Management: Research, source, and requisition replacement parts, tools, and maintenance materials as needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct required facility and equipment safety inspections. Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and internal safety procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
