Job summary

Surge Staffing in Ohio is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running safely and with minimal downtime. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a range of manufacturing equipment and systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.

PLCs and robotics experience is a plus. Shifts available on 1st and 2nd with full-time hours, overtime, and every-other-weekend work.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or related experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical components.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Basic PLC and robotics experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Assist with repairs, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical components.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts designed to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Respond to equipment issues and help restore production as quickly and safely as possible.

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician – 1st & 2nd Shift

Pay: $30–$40/hour

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Schedule: Full-Time | Every Other Weekend Required | Overtime Available

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep production equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

  • Willingness to work every other weekend.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
