Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Reading, PA facility on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical repairs, with a base pay of $23–$33/hour and overtime may be available.

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 2:15PM–10:45PM EST. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor machines, PLCs, and other electromechanical production equipment, using tablets to track work and inventory, and coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize

Qualifications

• 2+ years direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment.
• Experience using a multimeter or other electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to automated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadline pressures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs on conveyor machines, PLC systems, and mail sorters/printers.
• Electrical and mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belts, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedules, and work orders to reduce downtime.
• Maintain spare parts inventory using EAM.
• Troubleshoot problems and complete repairs promptly.
• Use a tablet to track work, downtime, and inventory used in repair.
• Perform other duties as required.
