Job summary

Pitney Bowes is seeking a direct hire, full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Charlotte, North Carolina Presort Services facility. This onsite role on the 3rd shift involves troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems on mail sorting equipment, including conveyors and PLCs.

Your pay range is $30–$40 per hour with overtime possibilities. Expect 3rd shift hours Mon–Fri, 11:45 PM–8:15 AM EST, and opportunities to improve uptime and efficiency through

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Experience servicing conveyor machines and PLC systems in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to automated equipment.
• Experience using a multimeter or other electronic testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, relays, drives, switches and solenoids.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedules, and work orders to reduce downtime.
• Maintain spare parts inventory using the maintenance system.
