Job summary

Smurfit Westrock, a leader in sustainable packaging, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd shift in Winston-Salem, NC. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, electrical and control systems, including PLCs, and calibrate pneumatic systems to ensure optimal plant performance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years in electro-mechanical automation, and the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years electro-mechanical automation system installation & troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical & mechanical drawings.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and plant systems.
• Repair and maintain buildings and equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment and control circuits including PLCs.
• Calibrate and repair pneumatic systems to optimize production.
• Maintain records of maintenance procedures.
