The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical and electronic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electronics, PLCs, and automation systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems. You will work closely with production operators and play an important role in downtime reduction through skilled troubleshooting.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

• Install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation and control devices.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, VFD’s, sensors, and control systems using testing equipment.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and components.

• Install/repair electrical wiring, equipment, and control circuits; new electrical services; replace and repair wiring and faulty electrical equipment as needed (including computer cable).

• Must understand NFPA 70E standards and can apply these standards in the work situation.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years’ electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Critical technical, functional, or operational knowledge
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety practices, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 operation.
• Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and automation systems.
• Familiar with troubleshooting A/C and D/C VFD systems (Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
• Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program (JDE-Oracle)
• Familiar with controls related to hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
