Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Winston-Salem, NC. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical and electronic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automation systems, and can work 24/7 in a team-driven setting to reduce downtime. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 3 years of industrial maintenance experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety practices, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a 24/7 operation.
• Must read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation and control devices.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic equipment including PLCs, HMIs, and sensors.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
