Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable production equipment and plant systems. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot PLCs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical certification or an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
Solid understanding of relay logic, PLCs, and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards and workplace application.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, and equipment.
Calibrate and maintain pneumatic systems for peak performance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Collaborate with operations to identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes.
