Job summary

Standard Motor Products, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician for the second shift to preserve facility and equipment. Responsibilities include repairing machinery, conveyors, HVAC, plumbing, wiring, and safety systems.

This role requires autonomy, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety guidelines. The technician will work in a warehouse environment with potential overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and control systems.
• Experience with conveyor systems maintenance and automation equipment.
• Familiarity with HVAC/building maintenance equipment a plus.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and notify appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain health and safety standards.
• Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and repair HVAC, heating, and plumbing systems.
• Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and electrical systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automation conveyor systems.
• Access hard-to-reach areas using lifts as required.
• Maintain work orders and inventory in maintenance system.
• Provide own tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, pliers, toolbox).
