Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to drive continuous improvement in our distribution centers. You will develop, implement, and maintain material handling equipment (MHE) and related systems to maximize efficiency and uptime.

In this role you will troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to site reliability and performance. This position is based in our Tennessee distribution network and requires strong hands-on skills.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of MHE and automation.
• Ability to work, plan, and prioritize independently and in a cross functional team.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills inclusive of exercising good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot solutions that impact facility product flow.
• Develop positive cross functional internal and external relationships with the focus on delivering targeted results that improve the overall occupancy experience, operating efficiency, and site reliability.
• Conduct routine repairs/tasks with shop equipment: band saw, Arc and Mig welders, Torch, Install copper tubing, Hydraulic press; drill press; grinder.
• Perform associated maintenance tasks on 3 phase electrical systems under 600 volts; critical preventative and predictive maintenance, drive unit and component rebuilds.
